Today we received a check of 359€ from the Globus importer to France, FIT EXPORT, but excluding the postage of 30€ originally paid to ship the old to Globus in  Italy  and 30€ to return the new  inverter that did not solve the problem.


Next step is to take the machine - 120 kg -  to the waste site and try to forget this very expensive (more than €4 900 for 3 years use for personal use ) and exhausting  experience with Globus MyFit Machine.


Please remember to check before you buy a whole body vibration machine that the company you are buying from has after sales service in your country which Globus does not have here in France.

Please take care if you consider buying a vibration machine directly from Globus in Italia - www.myglobusoutlet.com or via any retail shop, ex Amazon or www.fitness-online.fr where I bought my machine because Globus or their affiliates have absolute no service after you have bought and paid for it -  as least not in France

Furthermore Globus is also treating you as if your are cheating them and honestly when you have read my story you will know that Globus and their affiliates in France have a very bad business morale You also have to be a technician yourself.

This is a very short resume of a long, expensive and exhausting experience.

I bought a Globus MyFit vibration machine September 8, 2008 for  € 4 916 via www.fitness-online.fr. The machines was for private use and has maximum been used 2 times a week in 40 weeks per year

 End January 2012 the machine stopped vibrating and I contacted "apres-vente" (after sales service)  at fitness-online and in beginning of March a technician from Globus returned by e-mail with a lot of questions. We had to take photos and a small video of theinverters  screen showing different numbers ("a kind of mini computer") which we mailed to Globus in Italy. They returned and said it was the inverter that was broken and we had yo have a new one, which we have to install our selves. We have to pay upfront €359  to the importer  - Fitexport, Importateur exclusif Globus, in Marseilles, France -  and returned the used inverter to Globus in Italy.

Please note you have to pay everything upfront even if they can't guarantee that it will solves your problem.

After 2 weeks we got the new inverter, installed it, but the machine did not vibrate. Then Globus (their Sales Manager) wrote to us May 31:
 
We have discussed with our engineers about the possible cause : we are sure that an electrical shock caused the malfunctioning.

Actually, the Inverter you sent us is burned.

If the platform is still not working , probably the electrical shock has damaged more than one electronic parts.

According to our experience with the same problem, the parts that could have been involved are inverter, display, electric motor  in this order.

We have planned some possible solutions:
  •    You send us back the platform via courier, the cost will be approximately 130+vat using our forwarder to reach us and the same to be sent back to you. We will repair the unit debiting you only the spare parts, our intervention will be considered for free. If the problem will be on the  display we will charge you 400€ + vat, if the problem will be in the engines too we will charge 180€ + vat each of them. We will make the diagnostic and give you a quotation that you can accept or not. – minimum cost: approximately 315€ vat included ; maximum cost :  1235€ vat included (shipping fees included)

  •     We send you the above mentioned parts at the same mentioned prices and you (a specialized technician) make the replacements by yourself. You will pay all the spare parts in advance and after having repaired the plate , if you won’t use one of them we will credit you the amount of this part. We can send to the technician a dvd or a manual showing how to make the replacement and assist him during the work by phone if needed. . – minimum cost: approximately 490€ vat included ; maximum cost :  920€ vat included.

  •    We send you back the inverter and ask to the French distributor to give you the money back, after having received the new one that we have sent you.

and later they proposed us to buy a new machine for € 2 490 - the same price as on their website BUT honestly who would ever buy a machine from Glous who has no after sale service in France and also it is a little too expensive to buy a new machine every 3 years.

Right now we are in the situation where we have bought a machine for € 4 900 and an unusable part for €359  and we are now fighting just to get our €359 back.
 

Final words:

It can be a very expensive and exhausting experience to buy a Globus Vibration machine, so please take care and make a detailed survey of the different companies that sell vibration machines.
